Credit where it's due: Replika takes the annual row and the memory row outright, and Character.AI is the winner if free SFW chat is all you're after. Photos are different. It's the one row where we could confirm GoLove.ai's cell and nobody else's. You ask for a picture mid-conversation and the same face comes back, so the girl you've been flirting with is the girl in the photo. Testing that yourself takes one tap from Explore.

It comes down to continuity. The same character holds the thread in text, in photos and on screen, and that's the thing most companion apps can't prove they do.

Memory keeps your chat history, so a conversation picks up where you left it. The media button handles the rest. Tap Send Photo and describe the scene in your own words. Series is GoLove's own line of 18+ vertical short dramas, and as of early November 2026 it ran to 10 series and 60 episodes. Each episode lasts 60–100 seconds and has subtitles. Open a chat from Explore
Pick someone on Explore, say Nicole (@texasgirl), and the chat opens. Stuck on a first line? The magic-wand button writes three suggested replies for you.

Chat Settings has three dials worth touching early:

Tap the media button, choose Send Photo and describe the shot yourself. Something like "sundress, back porch, golden hour" is plenty. Back comes the same character in about 20–45 seconds, for 1 Star. Under the photo, one tap on Generate Video turns that scene into a clip of about 5 seconds. It's ready in about a minute and costs 10 Stars.
Before you pay for EVA AI, check whether it has the same chain: photos on request inside the chat, a face that stays the same from photo to photo, and a clear cost for each one.

What We'd Fix at GoLove.ai
The weak spots all sit at the paywall, and some of them annoy me:
- Pricing varies by region and promo, so your number may not match the one above. One price everywhere would be better.
- The free tier is deliberately thin: 2 daily reward Stars, a limited daily Feed and episodes 1–2 of each Series. We could not confirm the exact free Feed quota.
- Voice messages and calls are PRO-only, and so are the Feed filters.
- The roster has no male characters yet; the Explore filter marks Male as coming soon.
Still, none of these limits touches continuity. Memory works, photos keep the same face, and a character carries over from a Series episode into a private chat. You get a lukewarm free tier, and the paid tier is where it delivers.
Budget for PRO from day one and most of this goes away.
